A Management Consultant and Project Manager, I have over 12 years of experience in Corporate America working as a Management Consultant, Senior Business Process Designer, and a Project Manager for companies like JP Morgan Chase, Bank of New York Mellon, Computer Sciences Corporation, JetBlue, Con Edison, Verizon, New York City Office of the Mayor, and the New York City Depart of Correction among others. I hold Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Information Systems. Most recently I entered into a partnership with my mentor Dr. John C. Maxwell in my journey to follow my passion of self leadership, leadership of others and helping others navigate their leadership landmines in order to raise their effectiveness.
In November of 2009 I founded Light The World Foundation to bring quality education to children in Haiti and reach young adults in communities across Haiti and the United States teaching them leadership principles and practices that will allow them to have a better quality of life. I’m really passionate about my work with this organization and the team working with me. We’ve already made a difference in the lives of many children and young adults and we are looking forward to implementing our long term goal of building an educational and leadership center in Haiti. You can learn more about Light the World Foundation at http://ltwfhelp.org.
Some of the accomplishments I’m most proud of are:
- Partnering with John Maxwell as a Founding Partner to start the John Maxwell Team
- Being a guest performing artist with the United States Air Force Band of the Rockies
- Being a contributing author to the “Handbook of Business Strategy Series” published in 2007 by Emerald Insight
- Founding and leading Light the World Foundation (http://ltwfhelp.org)
- Obtaining my PMP designation from the Project Management Institute
- Fathering the smartest, handsome mini-me there could ever be
- Seeing several of my mentees, coachees and music student succeeds
Now, it wouldn’t be fair for me to share some accomplishments and not share at least one of my learning experiences. So, here is one. I partnered with a few friends to start a real estate company in 2007 and we ended up getting in trouble with uncle Sam because we were not minding our business. We lacked the specialized knowledge required and many of the partners were not interested in learning the subject matter as we needed to. We got all the legal paperwork done but we really didn’t have a business – we sold and bought nothing. We got stuck in ‘busy’ activities that were not yielding results. In the end every one got discouraged and the business went no where.
Needless to say I learned many lessons from this experience. However, my number one lesson is desire is not enough to launch a successful business. You need specialized knowledge and the willingness to grow yourself as a leader and entrepreneur.
How can I help you?
I’ve worked for, volunteered with and launched dozens of companies each requiring a specific sets of skills. As a Management Consultant, an entrepreneur, a leader, a husband and a father, I’ve had experiences that have taught me innumerable lessons. I leverage my experience working in Corporate America, the non-profit industry and as an entrepreneur while utilizing the teachings of John Maxwell and his proven coaching methodologies to provide change management consulting, leadership training and coaching services to project managers, program managers, team leaders, senior management consultants and project teams.
I possess a unique combination of experience, skills, tools and insights to draw upon to help you develop a comprehensive growth plan for you, your team and your organization.
