Session:  Leading without authority – a project manager’s dilemma
Description: In the information age, most project work happens in a matrix organization rather than the typical functional organization. This create more complexity for the project manager because he has to lead the project team while not having any formal authority over most, if not 100% of the team members.  Relying on his authority/position in the hierarchy to deliver results is no longer an option for the modern project manager. He has to learn to lead from a different paradigm if he’s going to be successful. The overarching question is: How does a project manager increase his influence thereby increasing his effectiveness? Join us for this webinar and learn how.We will:

  1. Expose the myths of leadership
  2. Teach you how to grow your influence as a project leader
  3. Teach you how to rally and inspire your team to deliver quality results

Session:  Project Planning for Project Success – Planning done right
Description: There are lots of generic basics of planning, but in this webinar, we will not focus of the theoretical basics. There are many courses available on this and most PM’s have acquired a fair share of the theory. In this webinar, we will cover the more practical and “living parts” of planning from learning’s acquired through my career. We will start from the premise that planning is not an activity, but a continuous process. A process which is used to create a roadmap to guide us throughout the project journey. Planning is an art and just like in any form of art, there are techniques to planning, but we must remember that techniques are tools. Successful planning cannot be learned from a book, it comes from experience and project success is achieved and dependent on how you navigate through the project journey using the plan as a tool and process. A plan has a life and must continuously evolve.A great plan is like a story and to achieve the desired outcome of the story, a PM must first envision it and make it a reality in his mind. The clearer he sees it, the better he will be able to navigate and lead his team through a project’s many challenges.Join us through an overview on how to successfully navigate through a project journey.
